It's the same for me when I have jury duty. They question me and throw me out.

But, they'll keep the idiot who showed up in tie-dyes, read People magazine the whole time, and had no opinion on anything.

I suspect they don't want anyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together because they're easier to manipulate and predict.
