Bowling for Columbine
Sep. 15th, 2003 10:11 amI had seen so many clips from this film, I thought I had seen pretty much the whole thing.
But we watched it last night on DVD, and there were parts I had not seen, so I'm very glad we rented it.
All I have to say is, if you haven't seen this, please do rent it NOW - even if you're a card-caryying NRA member and staunch Republican - no, ESPECIALLY if you think along those lines.
I hadn't seen the part about the mother of the little boy who took a gun to school from his uncle's house and shot another 6 year old kid with it.
That part upset me so much, and confirmed what I have always thought about the wisdom of current so-called "welfare reform." I never got the backstory about all that from the RW corporate news media, needless to say.
It also made me see Dick Clark in a whole new light (not a good light).
Anyway, do rent it and watch it, no matter what your political leanings are.
