heh

i am in that mood
where i just want to take out the old cluebat
and hit some people upside the head with it.

but i won't
because they don't want a clue
and you can't really force a clue on someone.

i am living proof of that, after all.
heh.

anyway, making some progress here
on the piles of work and other things.
slow going, but progress nonetheless.

i MUST get outside today though
for more than five minutes.

feeling better

so then, after the whining
i forced myself to go back outside
and walk for another 18 blocks
and faster this time
and paying attention to the fresh ocean air
and how much i enjoy breathing the air here.

and the first song that came on my shuffle was
that wallflowers one about
"god says nothing back but i told you so"
and i love that song
and then "losing my religion"
and then a dozen more that i really like.

and then i played that "appreciation game"
where you really LOOK at things as you walk around
and think about how much you appreciate them
and that always helps snap me out of a pity party in progress.

and i bought fresh strawberries.
and you can't beat fresh berries any time you want them.
so i do feel a lot better now. :)

I lived in Texas from 1960 to 1965, when I was a tiny child.

Well, perhaps not tiny, but a child anyway.

I have been in California for 40.5 years and in San Francisco for 35.5 years.

But apparently I still have a pretty good memory for Texas stuff.

Remembering it doesn't mean I liked it though. :)

I scored a 60% on the "How Texas are you?" Quizie! What about you?

LJ is still acting a bit strange,
and I am sure I am still not getting some comments or replies to comments...
so forgive me if I am not responding to a few things I should have.

I can check back on my own posts
but for comments I made in other people's journals
I can't remember who or what or when (or half the time why)
so I may not be seeing all those replies.

Oh well.
