First we went to San Rafael in Marin, where it was nice and sunny but not too hot (which normally it would be). We walked up and down 4th Street for a while, went to the bead shop, had some lunch, walked some more.

Then we went to Mill Valley, where we intended to have coffee and dessert, but ended up not having any because Joe did not want to eat wheat.  It's just as well because we do have a lemon tart right here that we bought yesterday.

We walked some more though, to old Mill Park and such. Took pics of lavender and redwood.

And we checked out Tyler Florence's new shop there, which is very nice.  It even has a reading room with comfy couch.

Tyler  recently moved from the East Coast out here to Mill Valley to live, smart boy that he is. :)

For those of you who do not watch the Food Channel, Tyler is a golden boy of TV chefs.

So anyway, we had a nice Sunday, got some sun, walked a few miles, and all is well.
