Here's a good one - donate to Planned Parenthood in Sarah Palin's name. 

I have donated to PP before but this is a good reminder to do it again!

They will send her a card informing her of your donation (use the address of the McCain campaign).   Your name will not appear on the card - but I would not care if my name DID appear on it.  I am sure I am on this or that Repugnican  "enemies list" going back to the 60s and I am honored to be there.

Once and for all...

Under the economic plan proposed by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, people earning more than $250,000 a year would pay slightly more in taxes while those earning less — the vast majority of American taxpayers (95%) — would receive a tax cut.

If half the voters are still confused about this, it just proves what I have been saying about that half for the last 30 years.

If 95% of us voted in our own best interests financially (and on other issues too), then Obama would win 95% to 5%. 

But alas, 50% are too (fill in the blank) to do that most of the time since 1980.

And so here we are, so deep in debt and so far up sh!t creek financially and every other way that it will take Obama four years just to locate the paddle, thank you very much, everyone who ever voted Republican.   

And if McCain wins, it will only get worse.   Mark my words (again).

Writer's Block: Everything That's Fit to Print

[Error: unknown template qotd] I hope print never dies, even though I read most of my news on the web, and get the rest from cable news like CNN and  MSNBC, as well as local news programs.

I still like to read the Sunday papers though, both the local one and the NYT.

This is not today but today looks like this. The picture is from four years ago, taken on one of my walks on the the bridge.

TODAY though, I walked a little more - about 14 blocks in the perfect weather (to the bank and the drugstore and then home with a heavy bag).

Normally that would be nothing for me, but I am still getting tired faster than usual.

I hope by next Monday I will have more energy again, when we will go back up the coast for a couple of days, making up for our last time up there that didn't turn out so well.

I feel like I should go back out and walk some more, but I just changed the sheets on my bed and it made my back hurt... this is so boring!

I am sure next week will be better.
