669 pages

my printed LJ for 2006 already arrived from lulu.com - that was quick!

for 2006 it was 669 pages.

a little shorter than 2005.

can't recall how big prior years were.

but i love having the big book made every year.

it's like a large format thick paperback book, with color covers that you can choose the photos for from your own collection.

it cost about 18 dollars for about 700 pages or so and then add about 4 dollars for media mail shipping. that's for black and white pages on the inside.

Hmmm, so I often just post pictures with no text. That's probably at least 300 pictures a year. They are presented in black and white, or not at all? And do the comments get printed too? Thanks for the info.

you can get it printed in all color but it's a lot more expensive. like for 700 pages it would be 120 dollars or thereabouts.

all the comments are printed too - but you can probably set it to only print entries and not comments. i just always had it print everything.

Print all the comments: that's what I would do too. I most often get my best thoughts being inspired by comments that come in from people looking at the pictures - especially comments relating to art and art history, bella SF, and anti bushco. Thanks again for all the info.

PS -- you can make the pdf file and then upload it to lulu and then see how much various options would cost to have printed, before you decide if you want to have it printed at all.

and you can always print out the pdf file yourself at home, but then it's not bound into a book for you of course.
