shite

Our new flat screen TV that has been working OK for two weeks is suddenly acting all wonky - the volume goes up by  itself all the way and then the remote will not let you lower it, and you can't even lower it manually on the TV itself now.

It just comes on at full blast and then all you can do is turn the TV off.

Shite.  I just emailed Amazon to see about returning it.

Wonder how much they will charge to take it back.

Hopefully not much (or nothing) since it is not our fault that there's some kind of defect.

I was so enjoying watching movies on it too. :(

We had a new flat screen that suddenly got black spots on the corners of the screen. It was fairly new, maybe only 5 months old and we took it back (which was a pain in the ass) but eventually (after a headache) we had it replaced. Hope you can get a new one soon.

i can see how this might be a headache to have to send it back and get a replacement, but now it's even worse - more functions are not working as the day goes on.

i'm not sure i'll want a replacement of the same one either if it's this wonky after only two weeks. i might just want a refund. damn, it was working so nicely for two weeks!
