the pacbell building

pacbell building, originally uploaded by judywatt.

The PacBell Building as seen from the new roof garden at SFMOMA.

The exhibits we saw yesterday were wonderful - Ansel Adams/Georgia O'Keefe and then the Avedon photos.

It was pretty crowded though, so I hope to go back on a weekday and spend more time there with fewer people in the galleries.

I tried Sunday too. Jammed and claustrophobic. Early morning opening time mid-week is the best, provided it's not the freebies or half-price day for any particular group.

We're members so Sunday was fine - it was busy but we didn't have to stand in any lines and we went through the shows without a problem - I would just like to go back another day and spend more tim with fewer people around.

I never go on a free or discounted day (being a member that would be stupid anyway).

After my fiasco attempt last Wednesday, I tried again today to go to MOMA and see all the photography and Georgia O'Keeffe. We took the ferry in, and then I attended to some other things... and got bogged down with those other things, and we never made it, deciding about 4PM to try again later this week or next Monday. Wish me luck; maybe the third time'll be the charm. I so want to see those shows, especially the Richard Avedon and the Robert Frank.
