Taken last Sunday as we were leaving the most lovely SB at Lucasfilm.

Yes, the bark on those trees is really that red! Not sure what kind of trees they are, but they will bloom soon.

It poured rain for a while this afternoon, while I was at R's painting. It stopped before I left though, which was great because I did not bring an umbrella with me.

Are the trees perhaps dogwood? They turn red like that in winter and bloom early.

nope they are not dogwood - i keep thinking they are just some kind of cherry blossom type tree. i see them bloom every year and yet right now i can't remember what they are! must be old age ;-)
