rainy day woman
Feb. 13th, 2003 04:51 pmI have a cold and it's been raining for three days and I just feel so blahhhhhh... if it rains this weekend and I still feel all sniffly, I will be so depressed. I want to go to SCRAP on Saturday and look at art junk, but I need a little more energy!
Sunday is another peace march and rally, but I don't think I can do it in the rain and wind, not with this cold anyway. I suppose there will be another one in March, and by that time we will probably be at war.
I must go turn the heat on... have been trying not to use it unless absolutely necessary, but my hands are turning purple here.
I'm working on about five different art projects, but I should be doing my taxes. I just can't face all those forms. Maybe I should pay someone hundreds of dollars to do it, but I can't face that either. I hate tax time, even if I have a refund coming, which I think I might, but am not sure... it's all just too complicated this year.
My daughter's cat Giba isn't doing well, and at 17 probably won't live much longer. She's already lost 3 cats in the last 2 years, and now Giba is going downhill. Very sad about that.
I found out we can't go to visit friends in WA in April and see the tulips because my husband can't get any time off until July. He is much happier at his job now though, since he got a promotion and raise and since the dingbatty boss above his boss is gone. His immediate boss (whom he likes a lot) is leaving the department though, and so is the other person he works most closely with, which leaves him with tons of extra work right now. He might end up getting promoted again though after all this, and getting another raise, which of course would be great.
I wonder if pizza is good for a cold? I suppose if I add lots of extra garlic. I had garlic butter popcorn for lunch, with lots of sea salt on it. It was heavenly. :)
