Good for the soul - letting go of attachments to specific outcomes. You can do everything "right" and not get the result you want, or the one you think you deserve, so... what's good is you get to start over every day, or every moment if you wish.

We have no control over so many circumstances and events, and we can't control our *feelings by force of will either. But we generally CAN control our own behavior, and that's a start (behavior wags the tail of feelings, so DO something that you think needs to be done, one little thing at a time, and let go of your attachment to getting a specific outcome from it).

Bad for the soul - clinging to unrealistic expectations about anything or anyone, ruminating about the past excessively, projecting into the future excessively. Resisting feeling bad some of the time, or even a lot of the time - just accept your feelings as they are (no need to try to change them - they are like the weather - all feelings fade with time unless they are continually re-stimulated), then decide what needs to be done NOW, and then do it, one little bit at a time.

Bad = dividing things up into groups of "good vs. bad" all the time. Or is that good? I can never remember. If it makes you happy, is it good? If it doesn't, is it bad? And what is a soul anyway, exactly?

Things to ponder while drinking tea and answering emails. :)
