We went to the tea garden yesterday, but the trees were barely starting to turn, so I didn't take pictures. Two more weeks maybe, and the trees will be fantastic there.
After walking a bit in the arboretum, I realized I was starving, not to mention it was just way too hot for walking much - like over 90 degrees. So we jumped on a bus over to Haight Street and had salads and beers at the Magnolia brewpub on Haight and Masonic, sitting by the window watching the colorful foot traffic go by.
Then we mosied up Haight towards GG Park, stopping in a music store, Mendels art supply, and Booksmith, which was, thank heaven, AIR CONDITIONED (almost no place is).
After that we tried walking a little more but it was just too bloody hot, so we took a bus over to Clement Street, where I picked up another 144 assorted buttons for $5.00. I'm low on buttons, and I stick them in the packages I sell.
Came home, collapsed, ate ice cream bars in front of the fan, watched telly with husband, and so on.
Today it's even hotter. I hate this kind of weather since no one has AC.
I know, I know, half of southern CA is in flames and so far we've been lucky up here with the fire danger this high. And if fire breaks out up here, it won't be in SF anyway, it will be in the 'burbs.
But I suffer so much in this heat, I can't help but bitch and moan a little about it anyway.
