joe's off today so we have been running around having fun.
we wanted to go to the monet exhibit one more time
before it closes on sunday, but it was way too crowded
so we skipped that and went to the deyoung instead
where they have the chicano show and the quilts of gee's bend.

then we had lunch at ella's,
and diane our favorite waitress was there
whom we've known about 15 years i guess
so she was happy to see us and invited us to a free dinner there
later this month, which will be great!
after that, we went to fort point but it was closed
because of the work they're doing right above it on the gg bridge.
so we visited the national cemetery in the presidio instead.
now we're home for a rest break.
it's such a gorgeous, clear day out there
very windy, but i like that.
pictures later... maybe we'll go to the beach.
tomorrow, mill valley art fair,
which is one of the few art fairs i like to go to.

tom killion will be there -
http://www.tomkillion.com/
we own about 10 of his prints
but the big ones were bought mostly in the 80's
and early 90's, when they cost much less than they do now!
the past couple of years,
he's also been teaching at the sf center for the book -

anyway...
sunday, a picnic at fort mason for anke's birthday (old friend),
up on the hill by the hostel.
