A sage leaf from the garden at the High Street Cottage, where we've stayed in Ashland the last three times. The owners have a gorgeous back yard area with an herb and vegetable garden, an outdoor kitchen, a koi pond, etc.
One night we made a delicious roast turkey breast from the Food Co-op that we rubbed with lots of fresh sage and butter under the skin before roasting. Yummy yum yum.
Anyway the color of the sage in the garden was just so perfect, I had to take some pictures of it before picking.
Back to the present - finished editing my Mendo pics last night but have not uploaded any of those yet. My desktop computer is giving me fits. I think I will buy a new large laptop fpr my birthday, which is in a couple of weeks.
We're having another very warm day in SF - it's supposed to be 79 downtown and 75ish at the beaches. I'm looking forward to it cooling off tomorrow actually. Not sure what we are doing today - Joe is still on furlough one more day so we can go out and have some fun I guess!

lunch at greens
Nov. 3rd, 2009 02:25 pmAfter a long walk along Marina Green, we stopped in at Greens for lunch and it was fantastic - we both had the Zuni Stew. Spicy squash and beans and peppers, with some grilled polenta on the side. The beer was great too - Eel River Organic Amber Ale from Scotia up on the North Coast.
Walked back along the bay to our car, then headed over to Crissy Field to walk a bit more, then stopped in at the Sports Basement there in The Presidio. Joe bought some fleece socks and I bought a fleece pullover.
It's about 80 degrees out there today so actually wearing the fleece will have to wait a few days!
