It's my fave beach in the city now, because most of the walking or running people stay up on the path and when you walk on the beach there, you almost always have the middle part pretty much to yourself.
And most of the out of town visitors tend to stay on the areas near the parking lots at both ends. So if you walk even a few minutes towards the middle, you get it all to yourself most of the time.
