fog is your friend

sf bay, originally uploaded by judywatt.

the fog has rolled back in FINALLY
and i feel 100 times better.

the pic is not from today, but today is like that.

yesterday and the past several days
i have had the worst hay fever i've had in decades
with the hot weather and much wind
blowing the grass and weed pollens around.

now that the fog is back
the hay fever is almost gone.

yay for fog.
fog is your friend.

and today i will be able to get a lot more done!
yesterday i took too many allergy pills
and passed out and did not have lunch with R.
and did not get much else done either.
it sucked.

but today, it will not suck :)

I thought maybe it was just warm where i am..ugh..southern Marin aand SF were so hot!!! Today i woke up to breeziness and i feel 10 times better. I'm actually kinda chilly:)I can smell the ocean again in the morning..and the pollen counts were crappy. Funny tho..it didn't bother me..last month i felt like crap with the sneezing.

last month it was different pollens that were peaking - this month it's the grasses and weeds, and those are the ones that get me the worst - usually not bad in SF but because of the heat and the east wind the past few days, i had it really bad. all better now though since the fog is back and the cool ocean air from the right direction!

i'm allergic to something in mown grass..but haven't figured out what. Used to have to wear a mask to cut my lawn and i didn't develop the allergy until the 90's..then i moved here and i was fine..(probably because no one can afford a lawn in Mill Valley, you could put a house on a lot the size of a backyard:)

Apparently it takes about 3 years to work on new allergies. This carpeting goes next.,,even when you don't wear shoes inside..i feel like they are nasty.I like wood or bamboo..damp mop and get rid of allergy causing stuff.

It's funny, when i was growing up,everyone who lived in an old house thought wall to wall was sensational. It was expensive (and probably real wool back in the day),and our house was built in the 20's and had hardwood floors.
I don't think they got carpeting until i was out of the house.
