Snapshot of some of Pam's beads that I have sitting on my desk - available light, no flash, camera right out of the box using auto settings.

At 100% I can see every speck of dust on them.

canon powershot g10 point and shoot, 14.7 megapixels. i'm sure i can do better once i bother to customize the settings, but i always like to just shoot something right out of the box first with a new camera and see what happens.
