on a clear day

Pic from yesterday's walk. Clear and windy out there, just perfect, not too cold by the bay (but was probably a lot colder on the other side of the gate).
We avoided the 100k extra tourists in The City yesterday for the most part. There were actually a lot of people on the beach there with us, but you just can't see them in this shot, because I have a special talent for taking pictures in the middle of lots of people and having very few if any of them show up in the picture.
Most of the tourists though were at either HSB or the Love Parade. Joe did get stuck in the dregs of the Love Parade aftermath when he went to pick up Rachel from her class down on 3rd and Townsend, and it took them forever to get back across town.
But other than that, we had a nice day by the bay and in our own little neighborhood just south of The Presidio, and luckily no one going to HSB blocked our driveway. :)
I haven't slept well for two nights in a row now though - very tired today. Not sure what we're doing, but I do know I don't have the energy or patience to go anywhere near Golden Gate Park! Oh well... been there, done that, many times already, and with less than 100k people to wade through.
Two more weeks till Ashland! That will be fun - four plays to see and lots of other things to do or not do. :)
