Picture from the way wayback machine - 2004. Looks like a nice day today though and I was thinking maybe we should go downtown to SFMOMA today, just maybe, if Joe wants to and if I don't change my  mind.

I hardly ever go downtown anymore because (1) I hate Muni with a passion after 40 years of it and it never gets better, only worse, and it takes at least an hour to go five miles on it, and (2) even in a car it tends to be not worth the hassles of traffic, parking, gobs of tourists, etc.

But once in a while, I do want to go to SFMOMA (gotta use the membership card at least a few times a year) - and now they are celebrating 75 years. It's only been about 15 years though since the new building was built. Before that it was all crammed into a much smaller place at Civic Center.

Anyway that's the possible plan for today - maybe go downtown. Or maybe not. :)

Nice shot. I was just there in October and I was confused because I could have sworn the museum used to be over by City Hall. Glad to know I wasn't just crazy!

yeah, it was across from city hall for eons.

but it's been where it is now since 1995 - so you hadn't been there since before 1995? wow :)

Yeah, I spent most of my time in SF between '84 and '91 when I moved to Oregon. I've missed the city.
