I count my blessings that I live where I live every day.
Yesterday was quite lovely, for example. We picked up the carshare car in the morning and drove over to Marin to do some errands. We spent a few hours in the old town part of San Rafael, on 4th Street, near the Film Center and the old mission.
It was perfect, 65 and sunny, and we walked up and down 4th Street, stopping in at Dharma Trading Co. to buy some paint, then another art store for a few more supplies, then a bead store. Had coffee in the sun, walked some more... a total stranger gave me a big beautiful flower to carry around.
We went into a little Tibetan shop and bought incense and a little beaded bracelet that says "Save Tibet" - the store was run by a woman maybe 75 years old, who was very sweet. She said she has been holding her breath a lot lately, like I have.
Then we mosied on down the street and bought some fantastic orange tulips with purple inside... I will take some pictures of the insides, of course, tulip freak that I am.
Later we stopped in Corte Madera and took a few pictures of Mt. Tamalpais with clouds near the top. Came home for a break, then we went to the tea garden for a little while and took a few pictures, but it's not quite in full bloom yet.
Proceeded to the Beach Chalet for some Belgian red and snacks, since I hadn't eaten all day and had no food at home and no energy to carry on without food. Then went grocery shopping at the big Safeway by the beach, came home, and fell asleep at nine o'clock.
Tonight my big plan is to watch the Oscars, which may be more interesting than usual.
