salt marsh
May. 13th, 2007 09:02 am one view of the salt marsh in the presidio.
it used to be filled in and pretty much used as a toxic waste dump when the army had control of the presidio.
but since the army left a few years back, it has been restored and is part of the national park system.
and the birds are all back, and it's such a great place to walk along the bay.
another view -

and one more -

i bought a small salt marsh painting from
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
of an east coast scene, which i was drawn to for some reason.
can't wait to see it in person -
it's an oil painting so it will take a couple weeks to dry
before she can mail it.
