ephemeral heaven

There's this little second-hand shop down the street from me called Muzzy's Attic, which I used to try to avoid going into because it was much too tempting, and the prices of "junk" in SF are about 10 times higher than they are in other places... but since I've been selling all kinds of ephemera the past few months, I can now justify buying things there to rip up and sell in bits and pieces.

Today, I bought 8 copies of BIG old McCall's magazines from the 60's, full of cool pictures and old ads. Looking at them gives me flashbacks of childhood and teenhood, but nice ones - making me remember how I loved to cut up magazines back then too. :)

working late

The hubster called to say he has to work a little late... so his arms and hands will probably hurt a lot tonight. Sigh... I have to get him to go back to physical therapy somehow, before he works himself totally into the ground.

On the bright side, while a few people are being laid off where he works, and many are being demoted to lower paying jobs because of the W-induced depression in this country and especially CA, he at long last is getting promotions and raises and bonuses that are long overdue. So he is a much happier camper at work than he used to be, even if he's in physical pain all the time.

My business efforts are doing better as well, and I have more ideas than I have time to do, but I will find a way! :)
