Since I quit my dayjob two years ago and have had time to make a lot more art, I think I re-balanced my brain. I think my brain used to be more like 65% "masculine" and now it's only 48% according to this - which seems about right these days, I suppose. Plus my DH has always said that he likes how I am fairly androgynous (and I like that about him too).

My journal says I'm 52% feminine.

Here I am, thinking about mortality, and so early in the day...

All these things here are things that disappear, as the songwriter says.

I think the atoms we're made of are pretty close to immortal though, and if we have souls that survive the dispersal of our physical atoms, maybe those are too.

Or maybe not.

We should meditate on the impermanence of everything, and the interconnectedness, Buddhists say. And what's real and what's just our ego talking, spinning endless tales. So I will do that... again... later.

In the meantime, this mortal has to finish indexing some legalese that this time around seems to be mostly about the rights of unmarried fathers in Florida. It's odd that I ended up falling into so much law-related work, when I never had any interest in lawyers, law school, or any of that.

Someone on my friends list the other day posted this link, and it's just hilarious.

Oh, the angst, and the bad spelling.
