i so agree with the dalai lama... and with rob too of course.

but obsession/compulsion being my middle name,
this is all easier said than done.

>>>Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
In an interview with The New York Times, the Dalai Lama spoke of how he deals with sexual feelings. As a monk who has taken a vow of celibacy, he said he'd prefer not to experience that appetite at all. "If you itch, it's nice to scratch it," he mused, quoting the Buddhist teacher Nagarjuna. "But it's better to have no itch at all."

This counsel applies to a wide variety of situations, including one that will be especially important for you in the coming months. I suggest that you take an inventory of your needs and urges and compulsions, and try to dissolve those that have little meaning or purpose for you in the big picture of your destiny. <<<

this one is for aquarius (r's sign) but i can relate,
having been sleep-deprived for 30 years now -

Aquarius (January 20-February 19)
German scientist Juergen Zulley specializes in research about the hours we spend unconscious lying in our beds every night. He has come to the conclusion that a lack of sleep can make you stupid, fat, and sick. It weakens your memory, decreases a hormone that helps control your cravings for food, and undermines the healthy function of your heart, digestive system, and circulation. I would add that sleep deprivation reduces the time you spend dreaming, which compromises your mental hygiene. All of these consequences would be major problems for you in the next two weeks, Aquarius. If anything, you need to sleep more than usual. I implore you to get at least eight hours a night. More would be better.

i am feeling so blah this week
and am not getting much of anything done with paper work...
and i have to get these stupid sales tax forms done
by the end of the month
and i hate it because
it takes hours and hours
and i only end up owing them something like $30
and it seems like a huge amount of work to fill out that stupid form.

every january it makes me want o move
to a state with no sales tax,
but then i get over it. :)

and i know if we retire to ashland oregon
the minute we get there
oregon will start having sales tax!

i just want to be in san miguel right now
but i will NOT look at apartments there today
since that just drives me nuts
to see those great little apartments
right near the jardin
for like $600 a month
and those are the ones on the web.

when you are there and can look at the local paper
you can find places much cheaper than that.

ah well, dream on.
and get back to work.
and go buy a lotto ticket too! :)

...i did look at this one AGAIN though...

and then i emailed the owner to ask about off-season rates.

ok, i worked for for a while
not on my sales tax crappola of course
but on moving the boxes out of my bedroom
that i moved in there before thanksgiving.

so now i won't feel like i am sleeping in a storage closet
and will have room to do yoga in there again.

and i sorted through some of the piles on my desk
but there is a pile hidden under my reading stand -
all the onopened credit card bills for 2005
(because i look at the accounts on the web and pay online)
and i have to go through all those to add up business expenses
that don't show up anywhere else.

one pile at a time.

much daydreaming in between chores today.
have not heard back from the lady who owns those apartments yet, about off-season rates.

...later... i did get an email from her, but she says she doesn't have off-season rates (the web page said to ask about them, but i guess that was wrong) and also that now the rent is $100 a month more than the webpage said. which is still not bad. and she sent me a slide show of pics of the apartment, and it looks really nice. and now it has DSL. so... we shall see.
