joe had to work today
and probably will tomorrow too
(don't get me started)

friend is coming down from sacto tonight
so we can go see the dalai lama tomorrow together.

so i have been cleaning the flat yesterday and today
when not trying to get my domain name transferred
without it failing 7 or 8 times in a row
and eating up hours of my time yesterday.

and after all this cleaning
eveything is still old and shabby
and i didn't have to go to the "shabby chic" store
and pay a fortune for it!

(one of her stores is not very far from here in SF)

of course my version isn't chic
just shabby
but i had to laugh thinking about that style -
about people buying overpriced new stuff
that's supposed to look shabby.

anyway i should go outside and get some rays.
maybe rachel's up for walking around doing errands together
or something.
