still very nice out here, not too hot at all -

i might go to the beach later.
maybe i will ask joe to meet me
at the beach chalet after work
or something.

i bet the beaches will be crowded
with refugees from the sweltering 'burbs though.
and then there are the touristas.

i used to like tourists
but sometime about a year ago
after 35 years of liking them
i finally stopped liking them so much.

i think it had to do mostly with
all the people on those damn "blazing saddles" rental bikes
who are even more dangerous to pedestrians than local bicyclists.

a lot of them are to afraid to ride where they are supposed to ride
so they ride on the sidewalks and other ped only paths
and terrorize all the pedestrians along the way.

i just want to toss the whole lot of them
into the frigid waters of san francisco bay.

ok, that was my gripe for the day.
and i feel better already :)

i went out to ocean beach but didn't stay long.
it was crowded as i had expected
and i really prefer cold, windy, empty beaches.

there were a few little puffs of fog coming in though
and a lovely wind from the ocean
which felt heavenly.

maybe the whole fog bank will come in tonight.

i stopped at the supermarket down there before heading back
and got some healthy vittles for dinner.

and that's it for me...
my muse still has not come home
but i think she might before too much longer.

someone on my FL reminded me
37 years ago today
was the moon landing -

i was 17
and was at LAX
with my boyfriend
(don't ask)
and we saw it on a TV at a bar there.

that's all i remember.

we must have been on our way to SF.

which is like another planet
compared to the rest of the US anyway ;-)
