i woke up early... yay!
meaning i slept ok last night.
earplugs were needed though.

think i will go for a walk
get some coffee down the street
come back and start moving furniture.

assuming my tendon can take that today.

maybe not a miracle, other than the miracle of the interweb...
but nice anyway :)

reminds  me of the einstein quote -

may day is also st. joseph's day -
patron saint of the workers of the world.

( In 1955, Pope Pius XII designated May 1 as a feast day of St. Joseph the Worker.)

so not just commies celebrate it as a labor day
but catholics as well.

i am not a commie or a catholic though.
but anyway...

my husband's name is joe
and he is a very hard worker
but he does not have the day off
which kind of goes without saying at this point
since him getting a day off would qualify as a miracle.

maybe i will take him out to dinner though. :)

edit - yes, i know it's also beltane
and that there are a zillion pagans on my FL
so happy betane to all y'all too!

sma rental hunting (again)

i have not started moving furniture yet.

instead, i am looking for cheap rentals in san miguel -
something i do every few months
and this week it is written on my calendar to do :)

i found a few today -
one behind las monjas church
which is a very good location.

the garden casita sounds perfect -
cheap to begin with
and then they give a discount
if you stay longer than 4 months!

you have to go to the border every three months though -
but that could be arranged.

this house would be great as well -
a bit more expensive but i know exactly where it is
and it's big enough so friends could also visit.

mothers' day coming

i just ordered two of these mugs
to be sent to my MIL for mothers' day...
hope she likes them.

i really like them myself -
the printing on them looks great.

hope she finds them cheery anyway.

the design is from one of my doodles
but it was doodled very large and then scanned.

and i didn't realize it
but i had enough commission money  sitting there
to pay for the gift! :)
