Bachelor's degrees make pretty good placemats if you get 'em laminated. Jeph Jacques, Questionable Content, 01-04-07
LOL - so do a lot of master's degrees, I imagine, and then there are most of the PhDs...but still I am glad I went to college even though I had to do it the hard way (mostly at night) and it wasn't any fun at all.
I did graduate with a 4.0 GPA anyway - so that was nice, even though it took me forever to finish that bloody little BS in PoliSci and it really wasn't good for much other than being a lovely placemat.
I guess it did help me get slightly better jobs than I would have had to do otherwise... but only slightly.
Nowdays I am just happy that I don't have to look for a job (knocking on wood because you just never know what the future holds).

lake tahoe
May. 18th, 2009 08:46 amAnother view of the beach we walked on every day at Tahoe, right behind our hotel. We also had a nice view of the lake from our room, which was up on the top floor and had a little balcony we could sit on facing the lake.
Spring up there is so perfect. We are not into snow sports so we rarely have been up there in the winter. It's beautiful in winter too of course but driving up in the mountains in the snow is not much fun.
Anyway, today I am going to edit more of the pictures. I am glad the fog is back - there was a heat wave here while we were gone and luckily we missed it! It was warm up there too but not TOO hot.
Rachel left for London yesterday so we didn't get to see her before she left but talked to her on the phone for a while yesterday when she was at the airport.
Her BF's gran passed away and they are at his mum's house in London for the funeral on Wednesday. I'm sure she'll have some fun there too though. She's been there several times - once for more than a month I think. Lucky girrl that way, she is. :)
