the city from the headlands

we went up on the marin headlands today
and the light was quite nice.



also went to sausalito
which was great
because all the tourists were gone.

and we did some errands before all that
so it wasn't all play.

but mostly it was :)

The skies showed every variety of wintry weather today except for thunder/snow and driving rain.
It was gorgeous- big threatening clouds going around 20 mph in the sky, patches of white bright sun. When it did get "sunny" the skies in between clouds was such a perfectly clean blue.
I think it's just a little too cold at night though. Brrrrr.

i don't mind the cold and wind - but the rain makes it hard to get out there and take pictures! it didn't rain much in the city at all though - or it must have been mainly at night.

i've been loving the light the rest of the time. i just adore fall and winter here. it's colder in the outlying areas and warmer in the city in the winter anyway.

We went to Point Reyes on Saturday, and it was a perfectly lovely day. It looks like it was a beautiful day for you today!

i was thinking about going to point reyes to day, but am not sure yet - woke up with a charlie horse in my calf and am trying to work it out befire deciding how much hiking i want to do today!
