angel on my desk, originally uploaded by judywatt.

enlargement from cafepress arrived today - i like it - i think i will frame it and hang it in the bathroom as a shrine to mold.

the angel is from a victorian planter in the sf conservatory of flowers in gg park.

also got a peace symbol teeshirt and a yellow flower mug, to see the quality of the printing of course. both nice. very nice.

I've bought a couple of Cafepress shirts, and they do last a while. The image does predictably fade over time, but it's taking a lot longer than I would have guessed. I bought one on 4/21/2005 and while it's not as crisp as brand-new, it's still in good shape. No tears or anything, either.

i've been making an selling stuff there for a few years and have been happy with the quality so far.

every year i print out a ton of those one page yearly calendars for my husband to give away at work to his friends at xmas, and they all look great.

i've only bought a couple of teeshirts but so far they have been ok - have not washed them a lot yet though.

mostly i've bought calendars and posters and prints and cards to use or give away.

but the design i have up there that sells the most is peace symbol items.

how big is that print and how much do they charge? do you have to order a certain number or can you just try one? i've been longing to print bigger but am not sure about investing in a larger format printer *and* all the ink cartridges it would entail.

i LOVE that typewriter...

it's 11x17 and i think the base price for buying one from your own shop is 4.99.

you can order just one but then the shipping might be $5 for one thing - i can't remember. whenever i order stuff from them, i usually order $50 worth and then get free shipping.

but i think you can order five items for a flat $5 shipping - something like that.

you can get larger prints there though and framed prints as well. i think the largest poster print they have is 24x36.

i have a printer that can print up to 16 by 20 but i rarely print anything that big here and yes, the ink would get really expensive.

you can also order prints of anything you have up on flickr - not sure how big though - have you tried that through flickr? i have ordered various size prints from them (both matte and glossy) and they were good. i think the largest i ordered from them was 8x10 but they probably go larger.

your art would look great on all kind of things! it does take time to choose images, size them for various things, upload them, set up a shop, etc - but once it's up there, you don't have to do much with it after that - depending how much time you want to spend promoting it too of course. or you can mainly use it to buy things from for yourself or to give as gifts - i use my shops mainly for that, and any money i make there i tend to use to buy gifts for people with.
