in a funk

i am in such a funk lately
i feel like i do not even want to make photos
or make art at all for that matter.

all i want to do is sleep
which i don't get enough of
ever, as in, my whole life.

joe called in sick again today
which is of course a good thing -
he says he will go back tomorrow
but i  hope that doesn't re-hurt his back.

which he hurt moving stuff at work
that someone else should have been moving for him
i think.

he takes like ONE sick day a year usually -
so wow, two days in a row
that must mean he was really hurting.

it's such nice weather right now -
but he doesn't want to really do much
other than sit or lie down
which i totally understand.

hope he's much better tomorrow though
and that he leaves work on time
so it doesn't take him 90 minutes just to get home
on bloody muni... 5 miles, an hour and a half
no kidding.

what else... nothing really.
like i said, in a funk.

thinking do i really want this camera?
it's nice but is very big - not heavy, just BIG.

not sure i want to carry something that big around much.
not sure not sure not sure.

will keep it over the weekend and then decide.

my hay fever is back because it's been hot and windy again
so i hope the fog returns tonight in a big way.

Work related injury

For a couple of years after my husband died
I worked for a lawyer friend who represented
insurance companies. Your husband has a definite
worker's comp claim should this become even more
serious. I hope he reported the injury to his
boss. It's still not to late to do it.

My doctor told me there's a correlation between
my allergies and being in a funk. Hope it all
clears up for you soon.

thanks - i worked with lawyers too as well for a legal publishing company for years, and i still index law books as a freelancer off and on for matthew bender. i hate to think how many law books i have read - ugh.

i am always telling my husband to take time off when he is sick or injured and use worker's comp when it would be approriate, but i am not the boss of him and he does what he wants in that regard... but he should listen to me and you both !

hay fever - yes, bad this year for me in particular and it tires me out whether i take pills for it or not.

I don't know whether my legal experience
is a blessing or curse but I know it makes
me more cautious. Your husband is fortunate
you are savvy. Hope he decides to benefit
from your experience.

I hate the dead headed weighty feeling the
allergies cause, meds or no meds. Right, now
I feel like I weigh a couple of tons and can't
concentrate.

yes, all that legal reading and analysis does make a person more wary of all kind of things - at least that is my experience too. i do tend to read the fine print on things, that's for sure.

and that old saying about how there's no such thing as an ironclad contract always comes to mind when i read contracts. :)

allergies - i feel the same way and very moody and on edge too - it's probably a combination of various things, not just the hay fever but the hay fever is not helping matters!
