judywattIn other news, I used some of my istock money this month to buy a small bookshelf type stereo system for my office room here, and it just arrived.
Yay, I can now have music in here while I work. We have another stereo system in the living room right next to me, but it 's been not working right for a long time so I never use it.
This little Sony system is supposed to be good (and it was cheap) - so now I have to set it up and test it out!
Later... I decided to put the stereo in the LR where the non-working one was and hook it up to the Bose speakers that the other one was attached to. Sounds great so far!
Of course now the speakers cost way more than the cheap stereo I've hooked up to them - but who cares as long as it sounds good? Not me. :)
And I've always thought it's much more important to have good speakers than anything else - you can hook up a great stereo to crappy speakers and what you'll hear is crap coming out. But cheap stereo into good speakers = sounds good to me!
Plus I can hear it just fine over here ten feet away. Our LR and DR are very small - both combined are probably smaller than our previous LR alone... but this apartment is much nicer because the neighbors are much nicer and the landlord is much nicer too. :)
Right now I am listening to Gil & Cartas - we went to see them a few times when were were in San Miguel and they were FABULOUS, at Finnegan's Pub, which had the best music in town every night. Pat Smith sold the pub though and it is not the hot spot anymore, I have heard. :-(

Maybe we can see them again sometime in the US - or better yet, go back to SMA and see them there!
